There is a storm raging across the nations of the
world, a storm of moral decadence; drug abuse,
murders, alcoholism, rapes, child abuse, abortion,
suicides, robbery, homosexuality, pornography, teen
pregnancy, adultery... the various political,
presidential, prime ministerial and royal scandals
among the nations have taught us that we cannot
anchor our future hope in man that we can hardly
trust, 9/11 has taught us that there are limitations
to military prowess. Certainly there must be
something or someone who has the power to protect
us... omnipotent perhaps; Someone who is totally
trustworthy, totally pure with consistent moral
standards... infallible perhaps; Someone who is the
answer to the evolving needs brought on by the
changing tides of everyday life.
If the eyes of man were no bigger
than a speck, how would he have desired to have it
placed somewhere among the stars, someplace closer
to the only Someone that fits the profile and where
it can glimmer down in this present darkness to some
individual seeking that speck of hope.
There are some who will say the eyes of our founding
fathers must have been as big as the moon when they
drafted prayers, aspirations and commitments to the
God of heaven in the various anthems, mottos and
pledges of their nations and in so doing set a road
map to lead nations and individuals caught up in the
tsunami-like tyranny of moral decay to the only
possible solution, God. I am yet to see a nation
under God, but I have seen aspiring nations; I have
never seen a nation fully trusting in God but I have
heard the various ‘call to action’ in the respective
mottos and pledges.
If these mottos, anthems and pledges
are road maps pointing to God as the solution then
the word of God is the road.
It is my sincere desire that this worship and
devotional study Bible will help to meet the needs
of the growing world population in these evolving
times; that many will find this presentation easy
and exiting to read and as you enjoy reading this
book you will understand God as envisioned by our
forefathers and the various twists and turns of the
road that leads to Him.
History has vindicated the decisions
of the many countries that have placed the eyes of
their nations on God but including Him in the most
important national standards. The revival in Fiji, a
country that has taken that road to greater
commitment, is a prime example. Fiji has become in
recent times a safer place to live: crime is on the
decline, alcoholism, rapes, child abuse, abortion,
suicides and robbery have declined significantly,
prisons are closing, the land and water are healed
and are producing unusual volumes and sizes of crops
and fishes.
May this book, the dedication and
the Psalms of nations feature included herein give
you the motivation and energy to combat any notion
or action that may seek to remove references,
aspirations or commitment to God or ‘under God’ from
your national standards, or to rewrite the map
included in your anthem that points your people to
mankind’s only hope in the face of the engulfing
tsunami of moral decay... the omnipotent,
omnipresent, omniscient, infallible, faithful and
tender-loving God.
